Moving around in the global Covid-19 pandemic has become easier but still somewhat complex for all of us.

The BVI now is accepting fully vaccinated people and children by air and by ferry. Before traveling to the BVI you need a negative RT PCR test within 5 days and apply to the BVI Health portal https://bvigateway.bviaa.com A ferry ticket or air ticket must also be booked online together with a hotel or charter boat reservation. Fully vaccinated people do not require quarantine. Partially vaccinated people (only one shot or a second shot less than 14 days before arrival) get a PCR test on arrival and quarantine for 4 days at an approved location, then another PCR test and a further two days before released. Non vaccinated people, the quarantine is extended to 7 days.

Private boats are mostly not allowed into the BVI without special permission. However there are delivery options where a BVI crew will go to St Thomas and deliver your boat to the BVI and you can use the ferry or air to get to the BVI and join the boat here, to sail if fully vaccinated or quarantine if partially / not vaccinated.

We can now travel to St Thomas or St Martin for a day without any problems.
