Stability Assessments

    We are approved by the International Institute of Marine Surveying Certifying Authority, the MECAL Certifying Authority and the Government of the Virgin Islands to carry out stability testing for MCA Code vessels. There are various tests which apply to different classes and size of vessels.We carry out Simplified Stability Tests for the MCA Yellow Code, Blue Code and MGN 280 and Caribbean Codes.

We work with various Naval Architects to provide Stability Booklets to the MCA format.

    We are also approved by the Government of the Virgin Islands to carry out stability testing for the Caribbean Code of Safety for Small Commercial Vessels carrying more than 12 passengers. Our largest practical test to date was for a ferry with a tested capacity of 143 passengers.

We carry out Inclining Experiments for the Caribbean Cargo Code of Safety and for MCA Codes

We test using barrels of water which are weighed using a certified digital scale
